Categorizing My Eyeshadows #1 2023

Recently I have been eyeing at some eyeshadow palettes... or maybe not just "some":

-Too Faced Sweet Peach palette: I really wanna know what it's like to smell like peach...since I reaclly like peach scented stuff, like hand creams as such...

-Huda Beauty Light Nude eyeshadow palette: There're some really beautiful duo chromes in there, I wanna shades that are not brown but also wearable

-Nars Afterglow palette: I think I only want it because the packaging is nice hahahah, can't tell if the colours were amazing not.

-Natasha Denona mini palette: Saw a lot people selling on carousell and I thought is a good chance to try these hype eyeshadow for cheaper price! ; w ; Should I take the jump???? Oh man.

-Laneige/ Lunasol/ High end 4 pan Eyeshadow Palette: Reason being also wanna try how it's like to use high end products! However reason I didn't take the jump yet because I'm rationally thinking if I will like those shade :( , or is it worth it??

-Shu Uemura Eyeshadow: Reason only being a lot people are selling it for cheap and some packaging are super cute!!!! I'm a real sucker for nice packaging makeup :O I can't find much reviews about them so I don't dare to buy yet...and most shades looks normal to me. It's only because of the nice packaging....

Innisfree Magnetic Palette: Because I like cute small palette 3: grawwwwww

And purchases I made today:

-Etude house Look at my eyes palette in Carousel, RM18.50: It already comes with 4 shades, reason I bought is because I'm sort of into quads lately and I felt would be nice to have a small compact with mirror and cute design! Although it's not like I don't have a customization quad palette. I have 2 big ones, 1 medium and 2 small (Illamasqua that I DIY and Tarte Magnetic Palette that is slowly wearing out due to using everyday. and the glitter packaging is slowly crease and breaking down ; (

-Etude House Kisses Eyeshadow in Milk Chocolate, Shopee, RM15 : I thought the packaging was cute and is on clearance, why not give it a try? It's quite cheap anyway. I might even able to turn into a magnetic palette with those 4 pan design. Tho I also think I'm crazy to dismantle a new nice palette lol.

Colourful shadows: That I only use as accent or barely use. Mostly are Medium to Dark shade. I'm thinking to get UCANBE Mint Pastel shadow to play with
-3 Yellow +2 in Subculture
-4 Matte Red/ Orange, 2 Shimmer
-2 Purple + 2 in my NARS palette
-5 blue, 1 green and 1 red. I don't really have a lot green shadow, those that I have were in Anastasia Subculture palette but I used those as liner mostly.

Goals: No more buying yellow, orange, red and blue accent palette

Reddish, Maroon, Orangy Brown, Peachy Tone. 9pcs

No more buying warm tone based palette!

Bronzy, Goldish Shade: 10
I do use these kind of colours a lot but it's still a lot to finish tbh, if I'm consistent I can use up a colour per year to to half.

Matte Crease and Base all over lid colours: 12

In general I will be able to finish half to one shadow per year, I think. Will have to keep track my progress next year and see how :333 I'm trying to be consistent so I can finish one pan at lease since they all look the same on the eyes.

Eyebrow, Outer Eye, Liner and contouring shades: 9

Colours that I use to draw my eyebrows usually. Since they are very dark and pigmented, mostly. And I don't use grey on my eyes anyway...Last I finish my Lily Lolo black eyeshadow probably in 2 years time. So 2 years would be what took me to finish a single eyeshadow of this type.

My Blush Collection 2023

Total blush I have: 25....! o A O (blush in palette is counted individually) ...omg!

and yet occasionally I thought about buying blush =w=" There are some changes in my collection. Such as:

-My sis took my Tarte blush and she enjoyed so... I guess it's ok although I haven't really used much tho ;[

-The kiko blush I had the packing rubber become sticky and it was too dark shade anyway, so I use it as pigment for my painting.

-My friend gave me her Jill Straut blush because it broken, but I repressed it and used it =W= I love the packaging tho

-The Canmake blush from my sis was scattered too, and I actually hit pan on my Honeybee Gardens blush, so I repressed into it and DIY a blush from other blush, especially the VISEART blush palette they are too dark.... T a T

Seeing I have so much blush maybe I shouldn't buy anymore :X

Can I pan these eyeshadows?

Panned a black eyeshadow from lily look palette as eyebrow
Some progress took in March this year

I finished this shadow!

Some progress

I also finished this powder

My current eyeshadow palette. Occasionally I switch the colours

Car Park lighting

With flash light from camera to see the actual shadow lol

Although I finished some products this year, I mean eyeshadow and my The Balm setting powder, but I haven’t record in my blog for a long time. It made me feels like I haven’t made progress although I actually did! Anyway since around this mid-year I have been consistently doing my makeup in car after I reach my workplace. Occasionally I do get too tired to do it but most time I weirdly feel awake after I do my makeup even when am tired. It’s like magic. Maybe it’s because I massaged my face with makeup making the blood circulation better? Haha

Anyhow, my makeup is work appropriate of course, and that means it would be sort of nude type makeup but sometimes I would add more sparkle but usually I do the same or smiler type of makeup everyday. Set the essence eye base with a flesh tone shadow, add a bit of light brown to crease, then some shimmer , pearly satin shadow all over the lid. I think I have made quite a dip in those shadow, 2 of the brown were used to contour so they probably will hit pan if I’m consistent enough. My only complaint is I can’t tell how my finished makeup look like in car cuz the lighting is very bad in the parking lot in early morning. The amount used were all based on experience and practice. I really prefer to do in a nice lighting but I want privacy when am doing makeup too, so doing in office is not an option for me.

I’m ranting and worrying about panning the shadows reason being I wanted to buy a lot of palettes, namely: Flowerknows! Their packaging is so pretty. Nars afterglow ! So pretty as well. Am a sucker for nice packaging. To faced sweet peach palette. Saw it on carousel and I have really wanted to try for a long time… and Huda Beauty light nude cuz the duochrome  were prettyyyyy

And… that will be 4 palettes! Is a lot?! But I probably buying them as collection too while using, am trying to see how long I can hold back from buying them, however if tomorrow is the end of the world, will I still buy them? I also wanna go to Japan and travel not to mention, and I probably will spend more on beauty products there? Lol just dreaming about it hhaha

Base Makeup Inventory Update 2023

It has been a while since I did any makeup inventory, the reason I suddenly feel the urge to do it again it's because I've started to spending quite a bit on makeup again. But I think that my purchase are now more mature than I first started getting into makeup. Some were bought simply of the packaging as collective while using it. Some are bought after doing extensive research with high recommendations.

Face Setting Powder- 3  [Coty AirSpun, Snow Beauty Powder, Srichand (Thailand Makeup that I bought when travelling there)]

Overall I'm satisfied with all these powder except maybe the Coty smell is a bit strong but it doesn't linger so it's ok. But all of them has a lot powder in it, it probably take me years to finish up all.

Powder Foundation- 2 [Inika and Astalift, this gets cakey easily so I use it very sparingly (gifted by my friend)]

Powder Concealer - 2  [Lilylolo]

Liquid Foundation- 2 [Maybelline and a Mix of Innisfree Tone up base]

The Pink Tube BB Cream is at it's end. Hope to finish or straight declutter this year end, since it has been very well used, but I won't repurchase it. It does pile up a bit around my T zone.

Primer- 3+1 mini [Allie, Cezanne, benefit porefessional , and Sofina]

For the Sofina I've been using consistent so hoping can try to pan it this year end.

Liquid Concealer- 3 [Maybelline, Rimmel, peripera]

I think I purchase the liquid concealer and maybelline foundation earlier this year but it kinda feels like has been forever! Anyway, I think it's a good amount and I don't really want them to grow anymore unless it's powder products since you can keep them for long.

So here's my goal:

31 Dec 2023

Finish or declutter the BB cream + HOPEFULLY finish Sofina Primer ;it's not a bad primer btw but there's so much to try out! haha

31 Dec 2024

Finish up Peripera Concealer and Benefit Porefessional since both is a mini, I think given a year should be more than enough! The benefit porefessional is an OK product for me. It does smooth out the skin surface but I prefer something that slightly brighten the complexation with SPF since Malaysia is a very hot country.

My other thoughts on my makeup purchase: I think I bought the maybelline foundation too dark a bit. and the concealer is too close to my skin tone, that's why I bought the rimmel in light and I quite like it. I received the innisfree tone up liquid as gift with purchase in carousell, initially I got no use for it, but afterwards I realize I could try to mix with the Maybelline foundation and it works, so that was AWESOME. it become something like a skin tint but puurrrfect shade.

So am pretty contempt with what I had for my base makeup now, except am tempted to collect the shiseido snow beauty powder compact cuz they are so pretty!
