My Beauty Spending 2017 Jan to Aug (mainly focus on Makeup)

Since I got into makeup community I have been discovering more makeup that I want to try out. Which I suppose this is how everyone got into constant buying habits whenever sales are available etc. My makeup inventory has grown a lot, even tho I did manage to focus on certain products by daily means. But usually buying things in are faster than using up a product! I don't really care about base products like foundation ( my next step is to discover concealer tho), my biggest weakness is eyeshadow palettes...

Just in August, I have spent money on 7 palettes...one of them happened to be a fake so I will make it 6 lol.

I spend a lot on NZSALE, about 120NZD, mostly skincare but bought 5 eyeshadow singles 5nzd x 5 =25 nzd
Honestly I felt stupid because each shadow only contains 1gram. I could have buy ZOEVA palettes for more product, at a more valuable price.

April & May

I spent 30 GBP on subscription box from Lookfantantic. The May ones was a mistake because I did not notic it was a monthly renewed. Was kinda surprise when I receive the box then realized it's not free  orz piss off 

July

August

Finally, I pull my trigger to buy zoeva LOL

Zoeva palettes 55.10NZD for both Rose Gold and Caramel Melange

As far as I could remember, these are the spending I had to make till now. Since coming to New Zealand I barely buy things in the store because too expensive.

How to spot FAKE ZOEVA PALETTES!

Alright, never thought I will encounter this day... I spot people selling their makeup and this girl she got a bunch of ZOEVA palettes and I bought three of them. Despite she was unsure of the authentication because it was gifted from other people. however, 1 out of three is a FAKE!!!
I literally feel so doom.... although I understand this is not the end of the world, still, it is sad D:

So how did I notice? Here are a few crucial points you could find out (some point were taken from other people's experience shared on the internet)
The one I got fake is the Cocoa Blend ones.

• Zoeva palettes are 2.6cm diameter, not 2.5cm. I felt weird when i compare to the two when I measure it, then I realize it's fake!
• REAL palettes come with a code number behind them. A small round transparent sticker with an alphabet and 2 digits. Fake one doesn't have em.
• Even tho words that are printed on packaging are machine whatever u want to say it. they SHOULD be aligned at center of each shadow! ZOEVA takes pride in their quality and designs, it is definitely quirky to find if their product doesn't come in nicely. 
• FAKE shadow doesn't swatch well, a lot of fall out and feels very stiff. when you swirl with your brush, it feels like there's a film on top, making you hard to pick up product with a brush
• ZOEVA's metallic colors are usually their best quality compare to mattes, so when it doesn't show up well, you know u have a fake one.
• Despite ZOEVA mattes are not the best, still at least they should show up a rating of 7/10 by swatch. 
• for COCOA BLEND, the shade substitute for love is wrongly spell into pubstitude for love. And the letterings are packed too close.

Pan that Palette #3update

I know I should update my other products too! But I am constantly staring at my palettes hoping my stares will make a hole in them. haha

anyway here are the photos! I'm glad to say except the black, I have hit pan on all!

NOW:

It's great progress, however recently I went crazy and bought 7 Zoeva eyeshadow palettes as I'm keen to collect them! XOOO So I guess I will not do panning palette next year. But I would like to finish a few shade that's it. :DDDDDDDDDD  and maybe also hit pan on a blush that I use almost everyday XOOOOOOOOOOOOO
