Sept 2019 Makeup Progress Update

I know I haven't made any update on how I have used my makeup lately... although no one might care...! But I love seeing how myself have been doing. Given that I have started to buy makeup again lately, I thought I should make some updates regarding my current state and progression so far.

Was focusing on the canmake brown shadow, but apparently I made some dip on other two, tho not actual, I think I dig bits out and make my own shadow. Which I would never do that gain unless its'on it's last life

Apieu Yoon Charmi concealer palette- I go very light on base makeup so I basically use this as foundation then powder to set. I use the green shade as brightening on cheek and forehead. because my nose gets oily easily so I seldom put it on my nose tho wanted to do it like how youtuber does =3= Hopefully can finish one more shade by the end of 2019

here's a random empties, Love this product <3

a canmake trio, I feel like if I'm consistent I can hit pan on the dark shade

and my almost everyday custom palette
Since it was too long ago I have made any update, I have actually use up a dark brown shade :)
Mix one with another shadow (A), using a filling eyebrow sometimes and as a contour/bronze, since it blends out very well
(B) is Lady Godiva from Lily Lolo, I love using all over my lid then use a darker color on outer V
Which same goes to (C) and (D)
(E) is also a mix up shade for setting the eyebase, because the formula is very powdery I should able to hit pan soon :)
-
the shadows mix are from PUR palette

psssh I made a purchase of Tarte Magnetic palette that comes with a mirror finally! After eyeing for so long lol, I can earn the money back anyway :P it's not like am using my credits to but stuff and paying off at the end of the month!

Odeme Majorette Nail Polish- Review and swatch

Since I started working in a nail salon, I became more addicted to nail polish... which I turn my makeup obsession into another direction! Opps
-
I got this polish from trademe in bulk from another seller, this one and another yellow color nail polish caught my eye. i love this shade a lot. Kinda royal blue if u will. Because the polish is more on the watery side, it can apply very smooth and this color is opaque in two coat.

I haven't try to see how long this color last on me. But it doesn't last more than 3~7 days with the UNT Peel off base coat- Yes, I'm Cristine's holosexual XDD Although I did not put holo on this one! Well, for review an color swatch purpose!

Odeme in Majorette (direct Sunlight)
not to mention the design of the bottle is so chic! <3

Indoor light

Thought the Oreo packaging looks similar to the nail color lol, props!

Hope this review helps! xoxo

Checking my makeup inventory

Lately I've been eyeing some makeup palettes again after stopped for quite a while! Although around that time I was buying a lot of nail polish lol.
Anyways, I'm writing this post to remind myself how many makeup do I have now!

My biggest concern is eyeshadow, blushes, and bronzer/ contour.
I've been very contempt with my lips products since I have hauled a lot from colourpop last year, trying out liquid lipstick for the first time and exploring what shades look like on me! Colourpop Dopey looks wayyyy too purple tone on me... I know it's not my color from the first day I put it on.... Probably will mix with other colors that came in the mini set! I haven't update here before that I made two Colourpop purchase because it was so hype up!... and yes I bought the yes please palette, love the formula... tho I'm not as fantasize as I thought that I would use yellow eyeshadows that much! Because I used to work in restaurant...I don't wanna creep my coworker out with super experimenting looks!, but occasionally I would do crazy look during my day off and playing around with color...

I know I have a few Zoeva Palettes, and actually some of the gold shade in Yes, Please are very similar to the Blanc Fusion
Realizing I didn't make an inventory last year, am just gonna make a quick recap for myself according to 2017's

https://artistinbeauty.blogspot.com/search/label/makeup%20inventory

Face primer...still 2!
I'm still trying to use up my Pacifica ones, as a little goes a long way, it seems never ending! A bit frustrating, lately has been slightly harder to pump out, the liquid sometimes solidify and sometimes very watery...hard to understand what's going on, but it didn't break me out or whatever so that's fine :/

Base product 2- the bb cream still in package lol... I'm trying to finish up the concealer palette first.
Powder base 4- I'm panning the innisfree sebum powder now
Sometimes I love using the Inika Foundation Powder because it's fast and doesn't show my dry skin patches. I got a setting powder from The balm when /i bought Mary luminizer together last year. and a foundation powder my friend pass on to me that I haven't try yet lol

Eyeshadow palettes!!!
Still have the 2 little one... Although I'm close to finish the brown shade in canmake...

Zoeva palettes 4- I sold my metallic and rose gold palettes cause I don't find the formula mesmerizing, I'm thinking some of the colours I don't use very often myself can be mixed into my oi painting haha...

Colourpop 1: yes please and I also brought a few singles

Etude house 1 : it's a palette I can do without, the pigmentation is just mehhh. I totally fall for the packaging that's it

PUR 1: Also another meg purchase. my only comment is I wasn't mature enough when I was purchasing this palette and there is literally like no reviews on this palette and yet I bought it because it was cheap and come with a lot of product! However the formula is super powdery and the shades were nothing special. But then that time I wasn't so adventurous in the world of makeup yet... therefore it seldom caught my eye

100% Percent Pure Mermaid 1 : I actually still enjoy this simple palette to this day, although I didn't use it lot enough

in 2018, I bought some used coastal scents palettes to try out, which is alright, some is fine, although overall I have to say I can do without them! Very hit and miss

A palette full of singles and depoted eyeshadow, inclulding my lily lolo's, I have actually finish up 2 more shades this year after such a long run!

So in total...2lil' + 10 palettes with more than 5 shades = 12!

A question to myself:
What is my favourite eyeshadows?
My depotted palette are what I use most, because they are my essential shades
My zoeva palette, Blanc and meringe, the others colourful ones are a bit of impulsive purchase I have to say... Some everyday shade from coastal scent are fun...

What I could do without?
Etude house, PUR and some coastal scent colours... tbh I won't count everything I got in the coastal scent palette, because I purchase it off someone else , so most colours in there are not what I would go for myself. Like weird cool and warm greys lol, not really a smokey eye person.

What have I been eyeing?
ABH Norvina and Subculture... Tartelette Bloom or any interesting tarte palette... main reason is because of my curiousity of wanting to try out cult, hype up products! Also, I like the ABH color story, very intersting, everyday use also some fun shades. Also Eyeing Huda beauty Green palette, I actually like the fact it's not everything green... haha I also have been looking at too faced! my only reasons to buy these it's because I haven't try any cult palettes before yet lol, suddenly all the better reasoning of why I could allow myself buying them... haha! qwq

face palette: 4
added two from viseart... which actually am thinking to sell them away lol, a bit bulky and I realize I could use some similar eyeshadow as deep blush shades too

Highlighter 5
add one mary luminizer which I love this cult favourite! I was so excited when I finally got it :) and a jauer lilac highlighter which I also love <3 <3
making me realise the pacifica ones i bullshit product lol, it does nothing!!

bronzer, total 4. 1 from pur palette and 3? from vise art although considering the shade I won''t say it actually fit my skintone... my take on from this lesson is that don't buy this kind of variety palette! It's not practical for personal use... I was so burn with the idea it was on sale and looking for a cruelty free blush color that I like... : \ maybe I should just buy some cheap korean pueple blush instead

I can't remember how many eyesahdow single i decluttered... but never really bother this category, because again, another unmature prchase of loose powder eyeshadow! it's not very easy for me to use..

Blushes: Also one of my overload category.. T A T
1 Honeybee garden
1 tarte
1 Zoeva
1 Makeup Geek
1 Korres orange brown which i love
1 illamasqua
and my viseart blush palettes + 1 from Mermaid palette + some from PUR that I think i would rather declutter it, sometimes i use lip stick as blush, so actually I don't see the reason for buying more blusher in the future unless were purchase in bulk in trademe lol... my biggest weakness... which also the reason why I would never purchase blush again for now!

Total 5 singles +9 in palette= 14
Now I hope I never should bought the blush palettes in the first place.

Butter London Tea Time Nail polish swatch+ review

Hi all, wanna share a nail polish from Butter London. It's Tea Time - a taupe medium brown color
it gives a very professional , mature and elegant vibe. Great for fall too. opaque in on thick coat or two thin coat, non streaky. really love the formula. but because i bought on a sale, it was a little thick, so i just add thinner and applies smoothly :3

on my Asian skin tone, it looks super nice too, on darker skin tone would act like a nude color i guess

swatch on whole hand

close up under soft lighting- really shiny <3!
