TOO COOL FOR SCHOOL- Rodin shading [Classic]

Recently I have purchased too cool for school, Art Class by Rodin shading in classic tone.

It comes with 9.5g, bought it on SHOPEE for RM32.50

There are three shades in this contour powder, am more of a light-medium skin tone. The lightest shade doesn’t really show on my skin as shown above. So I usually use it to set my eye primer and maybe use to even my eyelid. The middle tone is perfect for contouring my nose bridge.

Left : after contour
Right: before contour

It’s quite subtle overall and I know it has been quite popular in the market for a long time, after trying it I would say it’s a good purchase but would like to try their second shade that is more cool tone… so I can be “too cool for school” too😂

before

after
(shading mainly cheekbone and chin)

Since it’s not crazy pigmented so beginners don’t have to worry too much about getting it messed up.
I haven't tried much contour powders so don't' have much comment on it. But overall feels ok to use.

Guboncho O2 Bubble Cleanser Review

When my family (excluding me) was travelling in Korea. They were promoted this cleanser and along many other of their skincare. Some claims with the extraction of ginseng, which is highly recommended to elder like my mom. They bought a bunch and this bubble cleanser is one of them, that me and my sister used. It comes with a lid, and a pump form. It's said that you do not need water to use this cleanser. For I usually will wet my face before any cleansing and this idea of it somewhat amaze me. However so, it's not very foamy as I would imagined. Thus, I still use it only after wetting my face.

One pump is enough for a use and it sure has lasted for about 4 months, given used by 2 person at the same time. ( we only used it in morning routine, and using Senka in shower at night) I had also tried it with FOREO device. Like squeezing the cleanser directly onto it and let the vibration does its job. It does fine I'd say. But since I did not tried using it to remove any excess makeup residue, I had no idea how strong this can be.

But overall it felt gentle on the skin and it does a job basic job removing excess face oil that builds up over the night. This brand looks very high end in Korea's market. It doesn't comes in plenty of English description. At the back of the bottle aside from the name of this product written in English, they put a note of their website too.

www.charmncharm.com

and... apparently they doing it the wrong way
'kr' at the back is essential, obviously

Check them out if you're interested.
Shopee carries them, fyi.

Innisfree Eco Flower Tint Review- 4 shades

Hi all, here's a review of Innisfree Eco Flower Tint. I purchased 4 shades and all of them are just wonderful. They are named after a flower each and has a light floral scent to it. Basically, they are very nice, tho it's not like balmly-moisturizing, but after the color sinks in it does not accentuate my lip line, the longevity is considered good too. It won't be gone after eating and drinking.

I try my best to capture the photo and adjust the tone to have similar saturation.
  • Rose is a light red tint, nothing too over.
  • Azalea is very a pink color, just like the color of the real flower, since it's very similar to my lip color, there's nothing too special but very suitable for every day.
  • Garden Balsam is very similar to Azalea, but slightly peachy tone, very suitable for normal use too.
  • Calendula is the most pigmented of all, it's like a fluorescent tone orange, look super pretty when creating a gradient look. Looking for a fun/ cool choice? This is the way to go.

To add some touch, you could apply lip balm to create a glossy, natural look.(^▽^)

EGLIPS Chop Chop Lips Review

Hi all, here's a brief review of EGLIPS Chop Chop Lip (balm) in Tomato Paste and Berry Mix. I own this for almost a year++ and have been enjoying it. The colors are very saturated, can be applied sheer to create gradient lip or build it up for stronger color.

It is a very moisturizing product which is the reason why I love them. Berry Mix is more of a lightly fluorescent bright pink. very hard to pull this color off, so I would just apply in a dotting method and blend it out. Tomato Paste is very very pigmented and look super chic when applied full lips, on the other hand it looks very natural too when creating a natural gradient lip. Check out the lip swatch down below! Hope this helps in purchasing the product.

Formula wise it's not long lasting, glossy look and has no scent if you are skeptical of fragrance. But it does leave a tint even when after you had your meal, which I don't mind ^ W ^. Overall I'm happy with the lippies, it's balmy, pigmented and moisturizing, everything I want in a lip product. But sometimes I do hope Korean brand comes out with browny shade!

EGLIPS Oil Cut Powder Pact

Hi, Guys! Here a short review for this lovely compact Korean makeup!
As I have been wanting to try this kind of powder, and am on a budget... there was a sale on EGLIPS product on a Korean Beauty website, so I bought this EGLIPS Oil Cut Powder Pact
It comes with a decent sponge and I like to set my foundation by pressing with it, works wonder!
It's a translucent powder with a slight white cast( if you put too much!) anyhow it sets my face makeup perfectly and leaves it super smoooooooth. However, I find a bit hard to use with a brush without the pressing motion. I will stack up too much powder without noticing and looks a bit cakey. Best recommend with sponge application ;)

That pretty much sums up my thoughts after using it for a few months.

Cheers.
It's only about the size of a palm

Tony Moly Lovely Eyebrow Pencil Review

I have been using brow powder for a long time until I decided that I want a clean brow tail. But I don't have a concealer so getting a brow pencil is my way to get that nice shape. Western brand has a lot of great products but they are not cheap in New Zealand... even imported ELF/ NYX products can get up to 10nzd which I think it's just crazy zzz. So Korean beauty is the only window open for me lol, since there's a lot of korean beauty does free shipping on ebay. Overall it's a decent product, i got this Tony Moly Lovely Eyebrow Pencil for 3USD  ( tho i believe it's much more cheaper if you buy it in store in Korea)...

Overall it's a nice product, it's not waterproof tho, but it would stay "ok" if you don't rub your face throughout the day =v= Since I only use it to fill in some really sparse area and draw the tail this could probably last me a great amount of time, But if you fill your whole brow with this everyday it won't last you more than 5 months I presume.

The only downside is that I hope that there's refill available to buy tho D:
It comes with a handy spoolie on the other end, bonus++

instead of triangular lead it comes in round tip.
I got mine in Gray Brown, it's a tone down with slight warm hues of brown. The texture are really good to work with and blends well.

Under natural sunlight
I would consider to repurchase this but there's so many brow products in this world to try out! XD But I'm having trouble to use up my saem gel liner which I found it good as a brow gel lol, so I guess it might be years later that I could try out a new brow product.... anyway hopefully there's a lot more greener products with affordable price were out that time!

Saemmul Power Curling Mascara

Mascara! One of my last last list of makeup to try! Because I hate buying makeup that smudge! And I'm really scare of smudging when I was outside! This item wasn't on my list at first, but when I was looking at The Saem Gel Liner, there's a 5%promotion when you buy 2 or more items, and this mascara was part of the list, after hesitating I decide to irrationally-splurge again lol. I don't own any mascara at the moment anyway :B Although have been wanting to try 100% Percent Pure Mascara but they are so expensive! This Saem Mascara cost around 8 USD I think.

Fortunately this is a good mascara! It's not waterproof, but smudge proof I would say?

Curvy Wand like how most ' Proclaim to be curling' Mascara do look. At first I was fool by the product photo which it looks like a Christmas Tree lol, but it's just angle problem :/

Normal Bristles Wand

First Impression, the wand can pick up super AMOUNT of product, which freak me out at first, if you do not scrape of the excess around the rim you would look as if you applied 2 coats of mascara, super volume and super lengthening @A@ and could lead to clumping too. But after scrapping off it apply just well and do separates the lashed pretty good too. One thing that it does not really work out is that it doesn't CURL....and the formula can be a little thick and sticky, even after it dried out. Eventually your lashed will drop at the end of the day lol, but it would be great for lower lashes. The wand tip is not really nicely design to be able to apply in corner lashes. And sometimes the end part of my lashed stick to my bottom ones, which can get a little annoying lol

If you prefer more natural looking you can scrap off almost all of the product then only apply, it looks perfectly neat.

Overall it's a good mascara, if you don't mind it dropping thruout the day, unless you curl it with burnt wood stick.

Cheerss~

The Saem Eco Soul Gel eyeliner in Black

Eyeliners are usually one of the most essential item in makeup for higher effective to accentuate the eyes in making them bigger etc.. however they can smudge underneath your eyes like crazy if the product is not suitable for your skin... I had my first eyeliner, Maybeline Super precise ones, they are super easy to use and draw but they don't stay on waterline. I remember once I wore it to a concert, after the heat and sweaty event I got back home to the mirror and saw how horrible my eyes are and not a soul told me =A=.... But after that when I borrow it to my sister she dropped a few times and the ink went dead so the liner was never working neatly again - _- poor thing that did not last even a month....

After I got hooked on makeup, I saw a lot youtubers used gel liner. But finding a organic whatever good gel liner seems to be hard. And pencil liners are one thing that will smudge in whatever occasion, so I pass on my nerdy dream of trying every single pencil eyeliner. As I was looking around in ebay I saw this brand The Saem that I never heard of, a korean brand. Those were listed bit more cheaper than tony moly eyeliner and they are paraben free etc. Although there weren't a lot reviews online but I'm urge to give it a try, so I brought it!

The packaging is very similar to the Tony Moly ones, but I have never tried that so I'm not sure compare to the texture of The Saem ones.

Although in a lot makeup tutorials people will do waterline to make the eyes look more natural, but I dunno why with this having it on the lash line kinda makes me feel satisfied already. Thou it meant to be waterproof, but seriously this thing can't hold on my waterline, whenever I was applying, if it goes over bottom of my lash line, even if I have set 2 layers of powder underneath my eyes, they still do smudge, but if it's only on lash line then it can hold thru the day perfectly =w= The formula is soft, but it can dry out very fast during application... thus the brush got harden cuz of the eyeliner as well....sometimes I mix it with the Inglot Duraline to make it more liquid for smoother application.

Overall it's a good gel liner, but for me a person who is too lazy to wash brush almost everyday just to apply eyeliner, I'm eagerly wanting to try Beyond Gel Liner Pen.... but till I finish this first... orz

TONY MOLY Face Mix Eye Primer Review

Why I need eye primer? Because it makes color more brighter, vibrant and stays better. :) And I has a bad habit of rubbings my eyes for nothing, and I think putting on make up has actually at least tried to save me from this habit lol. If you are a fans of korean makeup you probably know such item as primer are not too cheap unless you found a bargain with discount online. While I was hastily waiting for my Elf Mineral Eye Primer I went around shops in Sunway Pyramid and brought this TONY MOLY Face Mix Eye Primer. Retails about RM32.xx

A simple sleek and sturdy tube of 4ml product, I'm not sure if the packaging is transparent or not, but the color of the tube is same as the product.

It doesn't comes with box nor ingredients list :/
shelf life is for 1 year

A decent tip, pinkish nude of the product. This thing smells so HEAVENLY!! It smells like coconut, I wonder did they put in coconut oil. But the whole texture it's not oily.

It has no sheen, no sparkle...just great! Compare to Elf's it's much creamier but once you spread out and tap it around your eye lid it leaves it as smooth as silk~~
At first I brought it because I saw good reviews of their previous Berry Girl Eye primer, but I guess it was discontinue. I don't know how was the berry primer feels like, but I think this is good as well! It did not crease on my eye lid and stay pretty well for a normal day's time. :)

For photos to see how well the primer works for powder eyeshadow see in this post---> https://artistinbeauty.blogspot.co.nz/2016/05/lily-lolo-laid-bare-eye-shadow-palette.html

I saw this eye primer being sold in Lazada etc, and the price is better thou you have to wait for delivery. But there's a few packaging of this product which kinda confuse me. One that comes in metallic flimsy cap instead of the white cap I have. Not to mention too the writings on the packaging was so different as well. Despite of getting fake items, I rather spend a little more to get them in the shops.

That's all! Thanks for reading!

Lazy blogging: Innisfree Green Tea

I brought this set during X'mas last year. It was a nice deal. You pay for rm80 for the Innisfree Green Tea Seed serum and coming with 3 little things. The serum got a great review for a long time and thumbs up for me too. The Green Tea toner and face lotion is of balancing line, it's less sticky compare with moisture line, I like this one better. It's suggest for combination skin type as well.

What's new for me is the Innisfree Green Tea sleeping pack, sometimes I only use that when I'm lazy, it won't get sticky after applying for a while and your skin looked refresh and clear the next morning. The texture is really nice, it has a gel-alike look, with some small white granule that will melt onto your skin once you apply. although green tea are being claim for anti-inflammatory but you still have acne thou, I guess the effects are to calm down your stimulus response.

Innisfree// Green Tea Moisture Skin

A toner from Innisfree for dry skin. 200 ML. brought from Hermo.my around RM60.00

Scent: Acceptable mild green tea.
Free from: parabens, synthetic colorants, mineral oil, animal-originated ingredients, imidazolidinyl urea

Korea Product is very popular in the recent decade, just like their tv show. There were good review about their products too, especially this brand. I love brands that are free from a lot of "stuff". However it's still unsatisfying for me because there is no a full ingredient list in English.

I think my skin is combination type (since it's not as oily + super dry like my sis) but their Balancing Line Toner is sold out during the time (website) So I guess I just try this since it doesn't hurt seeing the comments were nice.

The liquid is slimy and a little sticky, I don't really like that since I have tried Hada Labo's watery toner. So I use them when my face is still wet after cleansing to make my face feel less sticky.
