TOO COOL FOR SCHOOL- Rodin shading [Classic]

Recently I have purchased too cool for school, Art Class by Rodin shading in classic tone.

It comes with 9.5g, bought it on SHOPEE for RM32.50

There are three shades in this contour powder, am more of a light-medium skin tone. The lightest shade doesn’t really show on my skin as shown above. So I usually use it to set my eye primer and maybe use to even my eyelid. The middle tone is perfect for contouring my nose bridge.

Left : after contour
Right: before contour

It’s quite subtle overall and I know it has been quite popular in the market for a long time, after trying it I would say it’s a good purchase but would like to try their second shade that is more cool tone… so I can be “too cool for school” too😂

before

after
(shading mainly cheekbone and chin)

Since it’s not crazy pigmented so beginners don’t have to worry too much about getting it messed up.
I haven't tried much contour powders so don't' have much comment on it. But overall feels ok to use.

Why am declutering- NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream Abu Dhabi

This lip product is one of the most hype affordable some time ago. Knowing and being influence from YouTube +have been wanting to get a nude brown lip color I brought one to try (I wanted London initially but it was sold out, this color is near the nude range anyway. At first I don't really like it at all, it's sheer, and accentuate my lip lines a lot, maybe because it's rather dryibg, after using more, I found out that it works well when layering with other lipstick to make an opaque color. Meanwhile I put up a post in Otago Flatting Goods to sell it a lot cheaper than the price I brought. Months later a young girl pop me a message wanting to buy it. At that time I have already forgot I was not happy with the product, nevertheless I am happy the price can do someone a favor, and I can continue on my journey finding a new nude lip that will suit me. Sayonara.
Swatch on Asian skin tone, I'm kinda around the neutral type skin I think

Innisfree Eco Flower Tint Review- 4 shades

Hi all, here's a review of Innisfree Eco Flower Tint. I purchased 4 shades and all of them are just wonderful. They are named after a flower each and has a light floral scent to it. Basically, they are very nice, tho it's not like balmly-moisturizing, but after the color sinks in it does not accentuate my lip line, the longevity is considered good too. It won't be gone after eating and drinking.

I try my best to capture the photo and adjust the tone to have similar saturation.
  • Rose is a light red tint, nothing too over.
  • Azalea is very a pink color, just like the color of the real flower, since it's very similar to my lip color, there's nothing too special but very suitable for every day.
  • Garden Balsam is very similar to Azalea, but slightly peachy tone, very suitable for normal use too.
  • Calendula is the most pigmented of all, it's like a fluorescent tone orange, look super pretty when creating a gradient look. Looking for a fun/ cool choice? This is the way to go.

To add some touch, you could apply lip balm to create a glossy, natural look.(^▽^)

Prestige My BIGGEST Lashes Mascara Review

Hi all, here's a short review os this Prestige My BIGGEST Lashes mascara. I know packaging can be important to some people but it doesn't really bother me lol. Anyways, it is a hot pink tube and has 13.6ml, which is quite a lot and around 7nzd, very affordable. The formula can be slightly watery at first but it will get better after opening. Honestly tho, it doesn't give VERY BIG Lashes. Not a lot of fiber, no volume at all.... the best job it does is separate the lashes very well and no clumpy. Since it's not waterproof I would not recommend applying on the lower lash, the PROs would be:

  • it does not flake
  • very easier to remove ( I use Micellar Water on a daily basis)

Overall it gives a very natural looking effect but doesn't hold my Asian eyelash well... haha, moreover the brush is as big as my eyes and would get on my eyelid if I'm not careful. Worth trying, but not the best.

EGLIPS Chop Chop Lips Review

Hi all, here's a brief review of EGLIPS Chop Chop Lip (balm) in Tomato Paste and Berry Mix. I own this for almost a year++ and have been enjoying it. The colors are very saturated, can be applied sheer to create gradient lip or build it up for stronger color.

It is a very moisturizing product which is the reason why I love them. Berry Mix is more of a lightly fluorescent bright pink. very hard to pull this color off, so I would just apply in a dotting method and blend it out. Tomato Paste is very very pigmented and look super chic when applied full lips, on the other hand it looks very natural too when creating a natural gradient lip. Check out the lip swatch down below! Hope this helps in purchasing the product.

Formula wise it's not long lasting, glossy look and has no scent if you are skeptical of fragrance. But it does leave a tint even when after you had your meal, which I don't mind ^ W ^. Overall I'm happy with the lippies, it's balmy, pigmented and moisturizing, everything I want in a lip product. But sometimes I do hope Korean brand comes out with browny shade!

Karen Murrell Lipstick Review- Green Beauty

Hi all, I found out I haven't been doing any review recently... although I think no one really cares because the items I review are simply unheard/ under-rated Q w Q Anyways, it could at least served as a purpose of makeup diary. :3

As you can see this lipstick is from my Project Pan, I'm trying to use up this lipstick last year, however, due to my dry lips and busy life, I don't have the time to prep my lip properly every time. Let alone using it everyday haha...

I have the color in Violet Mousse. The color is very similar to my lip but slightly pinker, it's like a nudie pink, MLBB. It pretty much would suit yellow-Asian skin tone :) Suitable for work and everyday use too.

It's a formula between the sheer and matt, it will glide on perfect during warmer weather but not winter.

The formula is not long lasting but I'm fine with that. Usually I will apply lip balm then the lipstick to prevent mt lip lines being exposed terribly. The product itself has a cinnamon scent which I'm a huge fan of. It's a plus that no harmful ingredient is used as their motto goes: nothing nasty touch my lips!

Will I repurchase? No.
I'm happy with the product overall, but definitely prefer something more moisturizing.

**I purchased this product by my own  **

EGLIPS Oil Cut Powder Pact

Hi, Guys! Here a short review for this lovely compact Korean makeup!
As I have been wanting to try this kind of powder, and am on a budget... there was a sale on EGLIPS product on a Korean Beauty website, so I bought this EGLIPS Oil Cut Powder Pact
It comes with a decent sponge and I like to set my foundation by pressing with it, works wonder!
It's a translucent powder with a slight white cast( if you put too much!) anyhow it sets my face makeup perfectly and leaves it super smoooooooth. However, I find a bit hard to use with a brush without the pressing motion. I will stack up too much powder without noticing and looks a bit cakey. Best recommend with sponge application ;)

That pretty much sums up my thoughts after using it for a few months.

Cheers.
It's only about the size of a palm

ILIA BEAUTY- Sheer Vivid Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 Review

Finally! Reviewing this 42USD product that I brought from Beautylish last year. Honestly tho, I wound't think this worth that much D: This is probably the first time I splurge so much on a the ILIA BEAUTY- Sheer Vivid Tinted Moisturizer!

As I am seeking and trying out natural products, I dunno why I pick this of all tho. I am into 100% Pure but the shade are hard to match with my Asian skin tone (of those expensive samples I had tried from Nourished life, although their 2nd skin range is now in my to try list) Anyhow faith got the best of me and luckily I picked the closest shade in this range. T3 Hanalei

I am a light coverage person, if i want more coverage i just layer on some powder and call it done. So I am satisfied with what this gives.

-----Here's a simplified of my thoughts on this product:

- easy to blend
-faint powder smell
-takes @ 1 minute to let it set into powder finish
-the product consistency is not well mix, you can't shake it cuz it's not in a bottle, the pigments and water in it has a slight separation causing it too watery or too thick at random times.

- use dabbing instead of rubbing, otherwise sometimes it will roll out some tiny balls DDDD:
-slight white cast due to SPF if you layer too much
-recommend using under eye concealer because it makes your eyebag look greyish
-worth trying out if you like natural makeup + light makeup look (that's it if you could burn 42USD)

----Swatch/ blending under natural sunlight----

it might look very light at first but after blending it's fine

Project Pan 2017 // #1

Project Pan Update #1  !!!😃😃😃

Although I mention I'm very lazy and probably will only update by June (which mean two times in a yearrrr)

BUT

I finish up my Canmake Cream Cheek & Lip Gel <3333 So I gonna make some Updatesss
YAYS~~
[ The bright coral orange was a mixture of lip balm and lipstick from sleek palette that I donate away lol, not a very successful DIY cream blush
Incorporating this, I will add in two blush to pan if I use it enough, or at least make a dip XOO

Left: Honeybee Gardens Breathless, 8g

It's a pale light matte pink, slightly on the warmer side. It's not very pigmented but very bendable & build-able.
==========================================
Right: 100% Pure Mermaid Palette, Coral 4g

It's a nice coral shade with subtle gold shimmer, look super good for flushed summery look. But I don't really care what blush to go with what season. Sometimes I don't understand why those people on youtube would say" Oh, this blush is good for particular season....etc" I am guessing probably because in seasonal country the lighting tends to change?? Does my logic make sense? Comment if you know anything about this/  One dip with your brush is enough for picking up products, there's no really any fallout shimmers and I would regards as fairly pigmented, love wearing this when I'm not working X))
swatch of the blushes, might not look like a good swatch but it works well with brushes =w=

Moving onto my PF Organic Bronzer, I believe there are some progress, but I broke it accidentally and it scattered. T A T So I end up crushing both shade into one, it seems as it the dark brown has completely when out and only leaving golden sheen on my face as I apply. Some times I mixed with the olive green eyeshadow in my LL eyeshadow palette to create a darker shade.

My Karen Murell Lipstick!, it seems it only when down by a few mm...

My Youngblood Rice Setting Powder. I'm surprise you could actually see the progress! The amount definitely did went down. Felling #panporn
No high hopes to finish off in June still.

My Lily Lolo eyeshadow palette: I'm happy that I hit two small pan and expand the first shade, which sometimes I use to blend my eyebrow that were done with gel eyeliner that I gave up using on my eyes because I can't find a good alternative vegan makeup remover to do the job. TBH, I am getting a bit bored sometimes and want to use something else, but at the same times wanting to finish this off and hit pan on all except the black... maybe I will play around with other shadows once in a while. Or sometimes I was thinking is it the ELF eyeshadow primer in Blush tend s to affect the color that was applied on it (definitely)

Extra shadow add in! This light brown shadow I have been using it as a base color everytime I do eye makeup, I thought the pan was very deep, and surprisingly I hit pan. Adding this in to see how much I can expand :)

That's all for this update, thanks for reading XOOOOOOOOOO *so tired to type so much stuff at once*

Tony Moly Lovely Eyebrow Pencil Review

I have been using brow powder for a long time until I decided that I want a clean brow tail. But I don't have a concealer so getting a brow pencil is my way to get that nice shape. Western brand has a lot of great products but they are not cheap in New Zealand... even imported ELF/ NYX products can get up to 10nzd which I think it's just crazy zzz. So Korean beauty is the only window open for me lol, since there's a lot of korean beauty does free shipping on ebay. Overall it's a decent product, i got this Tony Moly Lovely Eyebrow Pencil for 3USD  ( tho i believe it's much more cheaper if you buy it in store in Korea)...

Overall it's a nice product, it's not waterproof tho, but it would stay "ok" if you don't rub your face throughout the day =v= Since I only use it to fill in some really sparse area and draw the tail this could probably last me a great amount of time, But if you fill your whole brow with this everyday it won't last you more than 5 months I presume.

The only downside is that I hope that there's refill available to buy tho D:
It comes with a handy spoolie on the other end, bonus++

instead of triangular lead it comes in round tip.
I got mine in Gray Brown, it's a tone down with slight warm hues of brown. The texture are really good to work with and blends well.

Under natural sunlight
I would consider to repurchase this but there's so many brow products in this world to try out! XD But I'm having trouble to use up my saem gel liner which I found it good as a brow gel lol, so I guess it might be years later that I could try out a new brow product.... anyway hopefully there's a lot more greener products with affordable price were out that time!

100% Pure Brightening Tonique// Luminous Primer

I was out of toner. So, yea.
It's a watery kind of toner and smells very fresh.
Honestly I think it did brighten my complexion but i don't like having orange in my skincare although they are crucial for the effect. Cuz I feel stinging even it has not reach my eyes, I'd die of pain if this touches them.
A good toner, free of harmless stuff, but very expensive. Won't repurchase, just buying it out of curiosity.

100% Pure's face primer has been receiving very good reviews and they are sold out for a whole lot of times. After trying this I really have to say it live up to it's words. It gives a healthy glow and leaves the skin smooth prep for your foundation etc. What's more it's made up of great ingredients. One pump is all I need before I start my makeup every time. Personally I think there's not much of primer that are vegan enough to try out at the moment, but I would definitely reconsidering coming back to this sometime after I finish this :)

A white-slight-looking liquid, very light and soft on the skin loveeeeee~~

Brought it from Nourished Life. A very great website for vegan, cruelty-free stuffs.

Cheeeeers.

Inika Light Reflect Highlighting Creme Review

Glitter is one of my fears of makeup cuz it makes me think it make my appearance too eye catching lol (I'm a pretty low-key person) I give this a try becuz I saw some ppl selling this as used and cheap. Inika is one of the vegan brand that is super expensive so to get it cheap it's definitely some sort of luck. So why not lol

This highlight creme is very subtle when blend out and it has a very natural glow by itself , as eye primer or you could mix it with foundation for glowy base. You could build it up if you want crazy god-like reflects too lol but it has a slight nude pigment it can look like a steak nudey super lights on your face if it's not well blend.
I put too much lol
I would say it's a good product, the particles are fine and easy to wash off with normal makeup remover too. But after trying creme highlight I have to say I'm not a fans for using this type of product to highlight my features. So I would just blend in my bb cream to use with and setting with powder for area that I want less of a sparkle. I'm not sure how this would look like super pale skin ppl, but for me of light-med skintone this works just well :)
One of the downside is becuz it comes in a tube and there's air inside it, if you don't leave it upside down as storage, when you squeezeeee it the air will "puff" out and you get too much "drops" of product. So I'm definitely a powder person meh

Ebay Fake Real Technique: Bold Metals Brushes Review

Cheap brushes are not easy to find in New Zealand, it's almost impossible........... even an ELF brush can get up to 10NZD while you could get them at 4-5nzd in iHerb. Crazy.
Since my days in NZ, I brought almost eveything online, buy in bulk amount so I can enjoy free shipping qwq" ( free shipping is my weakness point)

However FREE SHIPPING is easily available in ebay and aliexpress even you buy just one item, how nice is that! But of course the downside is you cannot predict the size and did the item arrive safely to your doorsteps.... which I always have shipping problems TBH. = . =

Ok, so this set of brushes are suppose to come in 7pcs, but they left one out, forgotten; so I only have 6. But they did refund me the price for one brush, so that's fine. No argue. ( I don't have the triangle shaped foundation brush) I got them all in Rose Gold color which kinda trending now, but they can look a little yellowish either way. Deducting the price of a brush, 6 of these in set cost me 7.20 USD which means you get a brush for around RM5 ~6. It's like getting brushes from Daiso!
3 face brushes, 3 eye brushes
am gonna put in the details like how I do with my paintings lol, just trying to make thing simple. All brushes are super SOFT. By terms of fluffiness I will just type according my own preference.
Eye shader brush (front) Slightly round

Fluffy 80%
Blending 100%

Eye shader brush (side)

Contour Brush

Fluffy-OK- enough for picking up product, get into cheekbone

Round Blending Eye Brush

Could be too big for asian eyes for blending eye hole area
Not very dense!! UhUhh
Very round indeed.

Powder Brush

Fluffy-99%

An idea of how large this brush is [O -O].>

Powder brush Side view

My most favorite brush: Blush Brush
Density 100%
Fluffy 80%
All Good
Flat enough, tapered enough

My least favourite brush: Eyebrow/ eyeliner Brush
Density 100%
Fluffy 30%
It's densely packed, but it's not sharp, precise enough to make sharp line! (҂⌣̀_⌣́)
It's fine enough if you just want to pack colors under the eye
That's all for this review!
