My beauty spending habits recap

Intro

For the last few years, since getting into the rabbit hole of beauty in 2014, I have been purchasing makeup non stop, for blusher I managed to get hold myself after around 2019, where I was able to try various brand of blush, various colours and finally realize that I only use that very few of colours and also able to find out what colour and formula I prefer. 

Lip

As for lip products, after spending so much on colourpop liquid lip hype, liquid lipstick is something I will most likely won't purchase again since I prefer something more moisturizing. My recent favourites are normal loreal and maybelline bullet lipstick, they are not too matte and smooth. Japanese moisturizing lipstick are my favourite too. other reason I prefer bullet lipstick is because they can be kept longer and more sanitize in my opinion.

Bronzer and contour 

Bronzer and contour on the end, only very very rare occasion will be buying one to try out, the latest would be too cool for school contour, which I did hit pan too, showing my concentration of it. 

Eyeshadow 

Eyeshadow wise, I think lately I'm only buying for the packaging. The colours I think I really have collecting all what I need, that I meant by all sort of colours. and have tried enough glittery colours, from Asian to Europe brand. And actually I'm quite into japanese style eyeshadow. So glittery eyeshadow has come to a halt now too. I'm really into hit pan my eyeshadow, sometimes I even so used to the shadows I hit pan that I don't want to switch them out and giving my love to other shadows.    

Mascara

Never a problem, I only need one and only a good waterproof mascara.

Eyebrow

Used to be slightly obsess, but now I realize a good dark eyeshadow does the job just well

Eyeliner

I had three liquid eyeliner now, brown , black and a reddish brown. Not too happy with the brown one because it's not super waterproof, everytime I yawn, my tear will melt it and the eyeliner is gone. But usually I love the brown colour more because it's more subtle and natural.

Nail Polish

It's something that won't go expire and has a lot more expression of it on doing nail art that won't feel overwhelm. Has harder access to it. Has more variety and brand to try! Something that pluck my heart strings now and then.

So I think I need to make record of the nail polishes that I bought over the years. Although I have been able to cool down my purchases but once in a while I think I still brought like a bit too much. Not to mention, some colour look terrible on me.

Arcane inspired color eyeshadow palette

 Recently I have finished Arcane season 2, of course colors is one of the coolest thing in the show that one cannot miss it. Inspired by the show, I decided to go thru my colours and see if I can put things together to create an interesting colour scheme.

So I have white, light brown, colour pop glassbull that represent the silverness shift, a kpop pink powder ish glitter, a purple for caitlyn’s hair, rich gold for Mel, reddish for violet, blue obviously for Jinx, and a black to smoke things out. Hope you find this inspiring and try to recreate from your own stash!

End of year Declutters!

It’s going to be 2025 soon, and I was looking to see what to paint my nails. Finally I decided on Picture Polish’s Vampire. Dang, I haven’t used this for ages, it’s such a beautiful reddish bloody maroon jelly-ish colour. Which makes me wanna buy more nail polish suddenly. Even my yellow skin looks nice with this polish, with a bit of Xmas vibes.

So I was rummaging thru my polishes and decided one of it has to go as I really have no spark of love for it.

It’s a polish with heaps of hex fragments. And I’m not really a fan of big chunks of polish like this anymore. I love sparkles but more like iridescent or thermal polish.

The other thing that I unfortunately have to say goodbye to is my Korres brown blush. It has this rancid oil smell to it. I haven’t got to used it as often and it is a nice colour. While its didn’t irritate my skin when used, but the smell was rather unpleasant. So maybe it’s time to say goodbye. However the compact is in good condition, so I depot my other old blush that I hit pan on and move into the compact. And throw the old blush compact away as it’s pretty beaten up lol.

It felt refreshing finally able to get rid of some beauty stash. I seriously has too much stuff and feel like am slowing down my collection lately, especially in cosmetics. But am still always looking at new special nail polishes😆

2024 Project Pan_Jan Check in

progress:

1. have manage to hit pan on brown olive! yay! but i think it's impossible to finish the whole pan in a year. possible in 2.

2.expand pan for timeless taupe which is possible to finish by year end or even half year. 

3.Expand pan for joy as well. but i use it not that often, since i wan to hit pan on white wish more.

4.sweet linger and glass bull has a good dip, i used a needle and poked to see how deep. I think a consistent of 30 use will surely see a pan. :3 thing is i don't use it everyday :O so it's gonna take maybe 2 more months to see pan. 

5. Rocky hopefully pan in 1 more month

 

New Eyeshadow Palettes into my inventory- January 2024

 Well, things haven't been going that well in my purchases, Just stepping into a new year and I have already got 4 palettes...

1.Too Faced Peach Palette RM59.86

2. Huda Beauty Rose Quartz (bday gift from boyfriend <3, I'm so touched )

3. Flower Knows New Angel palette, the colours are so so, but i can't resist the packaging RM92.28

4. Dramo Colourful pastel palette+ special gel eye base?, buying to try if it can help me to use my dark eyeshadow as liner and be stay put longer, yes I'm very into collecting colourful palette lately :O  RM124.15

total spent: RM276.29

as January is ending soon. I think that should be enough for now hhhh ;w;

Declutter and empty!

 

Finally calling the primavista primer done and decide to throw out the Jill struat lip gloss that my friend gave me like 3 or 4 years ago. When I use it today there’s a weird smell from it. I didn’t spend a penny on it anyway so considering I at least used half of it it’s consider good enough. Tho I won’t purchase this myself. I’m a little picky with lip gloss. My current favourite is the fujiko from Japan, it has a nice grapefruit scent and not too sticky. Japan really has a lot of good lip products and affordable than Korea product
